Last month, ProSales gave the Excellence Award for Marketing to three Parr employees: Tony Cookston, Corey Valdez and Nancy Cranston. The three of them are responsible for Weekend Warriors, which is a home improvement radio show that Parr owns and produces weekly at KPAM. Tony and Corey are the voices behind the microphone.
I caught the show recently and thought it was great. When I first heard about the show, I wasn’t exactly excited about the idea of listening to a home improvement show on the radio. I want to see as well as hear the show. But after listening to the show, I was impressed and plan on listening to the show regularly. Tony Cookston (manager of Parr’s Forest Grove yard), and Corey (outside sales rep for Parr) have great chemistry together and could easily have a career in radio. Their show is informative and entertaining. I felt like I was sitting right there with them.
